The doctor in question has a sideline as a dance music DJ, going by the name DJ Cardiac. He spins the decks at club nights throughout the local area, but on this occasion, he will be doing it for charity. He has put together a gig called Mooch in aid of the LOROS Hospice, which revealed recently that it is in financial trouble.
Speaking to In Your Area, DJ Cardiac stated that the hospice was important to local people, due to the palliative care that it provides. He continued by saying that it needs to find £2 million to avoid having to reduce its services.
He then went on to add:
“By hosting this event, I’m hoping to raise much needed funds for the organisation and to raise awareness of the situation it is facing.”
Those organising charity fundraisers of this kind need to be able to advertise them. Going to shops in Oadby that provide flyer printing is one of the options they have for doing this.
The Mooch fundraiser will feature a mix of musical styles, including jungle, techno, house and disco. It will also feature guest stars and will take place on 4 October.
