Upcoming event targets Milton Keynes food lovers

The Milton Keynes Festival of Food, sponsored by Brioche Pasquier, is due to be held in the city in mid-September.

This all-day festival celebrates the local industry and allows those attending to sample, smell, discover and enjoy a variety of food and drink. It encompasses everything from the new meats available to procuring spices for a summer barbecue.

The Food Market offers a wide selection of the latest produce most of it locally cultivated or reared. This includes various craft products and high-quality artisan cakes and breads all on display and for purchase.

It affords a distinct opportunity to learn more about the industry. The Demo Kitchen is due to present some of the country's leading culinary figures from Masterchef contestants to brewmasters, featuring a series of cook-off battles.

There will also be a range of street food vendors, a family zone incorporating food-centred educational activities, a VIP area and a beer tent, courtesy of Silverstone Brewery. Music will be provided by a variety of artists all adding to the atmosphere.

Tickets cost £2.80 for adults aged 16 to 59. Printing services can be a useful resource for those engaged in preparations for a local festival or another community event.

The Milton Keynes Festival of Food will take place on Saturday, September 16 between 10am and 6pm at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes.
