Milton Keynes is set to host a brand new music festival this summer, and the organisers have lined up a top band as the headliners.
The MK Weekender will be the latest addition to the events calendar in the city and the team behind it is promising an outdoor party to remember. One of the headline acts will be Scouting for Girls, a band that has enjoyed numerous chart hits over the years. Among its biggest hits are the likes of ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘She’s So Lovely’, which are sure to form part of its set on the day.
A number of other acts have also been confirmed to appear at the festival. They include the Spandau Ballet founder Martin Kemp, who will be performing a DJ set full of the greatest sounds of the 1980s.
Dance music fans will be delighted to see that Charlie Hedges is also part of the line-up. This DJ from Radio 1 is a key figure in the UK electronic scene and will be spinning high-energy tunes to get people moving.
