Milton Keynes will be reliving one of the most spectacular international charity events in history later in the year.
That event is the legendary concert known as Live Aid. This united an audience of 1.5 billion people around the world when it was held on 13 July 1985. Now, they will have the chance to experience the magic again, as Just for One Day - The Live Aid Musical comes to Milton Keynes. This show sets out to tell the tale of the giant concert, which was the brainchild of Bob Geldof and featured many of the era’s top stars.

This musical had its premiere at the Old Vic in London, where it broke all attendance records. It was then taken on tour across North America, where it proved to be a big hit. The show has also been performed in the West End, to further success and plaudits.
All of this suggests that Milton Keynes audiences are in for a treat. The musical includes songs by the likes of Diana Ross, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Elton John, Madonna and Queen. Luke Sheppard is directing the show.
