This windmill is located within the Bradwell district and holds Grade II listed status. It was originally constructed at the start of the 19th century and was used for the milling of wheat and barley. These were turned into flour by its massive millstones, until the closure of the windmill. This took place during the 1870s and it has remained quiet ever since. Now, this is all set to change, thanks to new Plans that have been announced.
The work needed to revive it will be carried out by Milton Keynes City Council. The local authority has secured the necessary funding courtesy of a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant. Some of the money has also been put up by developers.
