New warehouse facility planned for Milton Keynes

A massive new warehouse facility could be set to be constructed at a location in Milton Keynes, with Plans for it having been unveiled by the owner of the site.

The location in question is at Yeoman’s Drive, which is in the Blakelands district of Milton Keynes. A company called Panattoni has made a commitment to purchase an area of land that covers five acres. As Europe’s biggest industrial estate developer, Panattoni wants to use the land to build a new warehouse. If it gets the go ahead, the planned facility would be 100,000 sq ft in size.

The idea is that the warehouse would be available for use by companies in the logistics sector. Panattoni is currently constructing two similar warehouses on the outskirts of Newport Pagnell; they will be known as Panattoni Park when completed.

When warehouses like this are built and companies move into them, they find that Milton Keynes has other useful services available. These include shops that offer business card printing, for networking events, or Banners for announcing the opening of new sites.

Speaking to the Milton Keynes Citizen, James Watson from Panattoni said:

“Our latest acquisition underlines our long-term commitment to Milton Keynes and our confidence in the region’s industrial and logistics market.”

He went on to add that the company looked forward to pursuing the project to completion. It will next submit an in-depth planning application.
