New Milton Keynes cinema will feature biggest screen in town

The new IMAX cinema that Odeon will be launching in Milton Keynes towards the end of February is set to offer filmgoers the biggest screen in town, as well as VIP ticketing options.

Odeon has described the centre as a flagship venue offering state-of-the-art facilities and providing, according to the cinema chain, the best place to watch new movies anywhere outside of the capital.

There will be 11 screens in total, with one of them being the IMAX screen custom built and measuring 10.3 metres in height and 18.5 metres across, making it the most sizeable in Milton Keynes.

This screen will come with a projection system providing heightened image clarity and the IMAX digital sound system.

There can be little doubt that this venue will be popular with residents of the town, but poster printing in Milton Keynes can be employed before the launch to let them know about it.

The general manager of the Milton Keynes Odeon, Stephen Shaw, said:

“Milton Keynes has always led the way with cinema technology, opening the UK’s first multiplex 30 years ago and this is set to continue with the new state-of-the-art facility.”

Also featuring a Costa Coffee outlet, Ben and Jerry’s and yoghurt stand, as well as VIP viewing options in The Gallery, the cinema will open on 27th February.
