The campaign is focusing on brain tumours. Awareness of tumours shall be raised by a variety of events, while resources will be obtained to assist scientific work. Print shops from Milton Keynes can be used by the third sector. The entrepreneur and model Caprice Bourret has experienced a tumour diagnosis and she has backed the ongoing campaign. Caprice told the Milton Keynes Citizen:
“I have been so touched by hearing everyone’s story and the incredible work they have done in supporting Brain Tumour Research. It’s a sad fact that brain tumours affect so many people and that this devastating disease is indiscriminate and can affect anyone at any age – I never even used to get headaches before I was diagnosed.”
Caprice has undergone surgery to take out her brain tumour. Since the operation, she has been kept under observation by a medical team.
The thrust of the campaigning is that there will be a big event towards the end of the month. Wear A Hat Day should see individuals, families, workers and schoolchildren getting behind a great cause. A workshop for hat decoration has already taken place.
Scientists are engaged in the fight to improve patient outcomes. The aspiration is that one day a cure for brain tumours could be delivered.Get a Free Quote for Print
