This well-respected singer/songwriter and guitarist has been in the business for over four decades. It all started when he replied to an ad by Chris Difford seeking to form a group, and he is still in demand today as a performer.
Squeeze’s first release, the 1977 EP 'Packet Of Three', included the tracks 'Take Me I’m Yours', 'Cool For Cats' and 'Up The Junction' going on to chart success.
Squeeze semi-disbanded in 1998 and Tilbrook chose to pursue a solo career that resulted in the albums 'Transatlantic Ping-Pong', 'The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook', and 'Pandemonium Ensues'.
'Happy Ending', his latest, is more personal, consisting of musical pictures of certain times, places and people. It was written with the assistance and vocals of Leon and Wesley, his children, as well as friends Dennis Greaves and Simon Hanson.
Tilbrook has been performing solo for almost 20 years and enjoys this freedom, saying:
"Everything I do now is because I want to do it."
