An upcoming walk is set to discover the nocturnal creatures that live in Milton Keynes’ Howe Park Wood.
The Walk & Talk: Nature at Night event, organised by The Parks Trust, is due to take place this spring. The woodland walk will provide an opportunity for people to come along and discover more about the park, its various habitats and the nocturnal species that live there.
It will be led by members of the park team, and those attending will learn how to identify the animals and learn why they are nocturnal. The unique abilities of creatures that have adapted to living life in the dark, such as badgers, foxes and bats, will be explained.
Howe Park Wood is referenced in the Doomsday Book of 1086, and today, parts of it may be the original woodland. There is no guarantee that the nocturnal animals will make an appearance during the walk, but great efforts will be made to find them.
Ticket prices start at £3. It is designed for families, including children aged eight years and over in adult company, with prior booking essential. Brochure printing can prove useful when it comes to preparing for and presenting local events like this.
Walk & Talk: Nature at Night will take place between 7.30pm and 9pm on Tuesday, 6th April at Howe Park Wood, Milton Keynes.
