Milton Keynes seeks confident speakers

Milton Keynes Confident Speakers Club, which is a member of Toastmasters International, is holding one of its regular meetings in the city at the end of next month.

Public speaking is widely recognised as a nerve-wreaking and at times frightening experience. The aim of the club is to help people from all kinds of backgrounds to utilise professional techniques and ultimately to develop confidence. This is done in a focused but supportive environment, which itself aids learning as well as being a fun social experience.

Each meeting follows a programme of practical instruction and advice. There will also be opportunities to deliver both pre-prepared as well as unplanned speeches with useful feedback being given. This will help those participating not only to improve their skills but also acts as an aid to personal development, since such skills are valuable in a variety of employment and social settings. Visitors who just want to learn more, and new members are always welcome.

There is no charge for attendance. Registration is open from 6th December and there is no requirement to have a printed ticket on the day. Poster printing can be beneficial when it comes to advertising events such as these.

Milton Keynes Confident Speakers Club will meet between 11:45am and 1:15pm on Friday 31st January 2020 at the NatWest Accelerator in Milton Keynes.
