Milton Keynes looks forward to the blues

The rock/blues musicians Erja Lyytinen and Chantel McGregor are due to play a gig in Milton Keynes early in February.

Lyytinen is a Finnish singer/songwriter and blues guitarist who often performs over 100 concerts a year. Her albums are released on the self-owned Tuohi Records label.

The most recent of these, "Another World", led to a first full credit as a producer. She has also appeared on "Tahdet, Tahdet", an MTV Finnish TV show, and played with the famous slide guitarist Sonny Landreth.

In 2017, Lyytinen picked up the European Blues Award for Best Guitarist and came seventh in The Music Radar's poll. It was that same year she opened for Santana at the group's Helsinki concert.

Meanwhile, McGregor began performing at the age of 12 and is one of Britain's leading rock-blues musicians. She has won a number of awards, notably "Guitarist of the Year" and "Female Vocalist of the Year" in 2013 at the British Blues Awards. Her second album "Lose Control" was released in 2015 and she is presently working on her third studio album.

Tickets cost £20.50 inclusive of a £2.50 commission fee. Printing services can be a valuable resource when organising a forthcoming musical event.

The gig has a starting time of 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 6 at The Stables, Milton Keynes.
