The Scottish singer-songwriter Jill Jackson is about to go on tour and is due to play a gig in Milton Keynes at the beginning of June.
This country and Americana musician grew up in Glasgow listening to Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton. She taught herself the guitar, starting at just aged 9, and then joined a country band aged 16, leaving school to perform throughout the UK.
Jill became the front person for the pop/rock outfit Speedway during the noughties, the beginning of a 20-year musical career. This included signing with Virgin EMI, having a number of UK hit singles, and appearing on Top of the Pops and festivals like Glastonbury.
Time spent living and working in Nashville saw Jill return to her American country roots. Five solo discs later, her 2018 album 'Are We There Yet?' came out. It realised the number 3 position in the UK iTunes Country Charts and achieved over 1 million YouTube hits.
She has also written songs for Mel C and toured with both Rod Stewart and Bryan Adams. Her latest album 'Yours Aye' was released in May 2022.
Tickets cost £15.5,0 inclusive of a commission fee. Print shops can be a useful resource for those making preparations for a future concert or musical event.
Jill Jackson's gig has a starting time of 8.45pm on Friday, June 2 at The Stables, Milton Keynes.Get a Free Quote for Print
