This acoustic twosome with a classically distinctive sound emerged in 2016. They sing duets around one microphone with a dobro, mountain dulcimer and guitar.
The pair have recorded several studio albums, including "Before The Sun" in 2016 and "Awake" in 2018 produced in Toronto by David Travers Smith. R2 Magazine praised the latter as:
“An exquisite soundscape, which is the result of passion, precision and unbridled intimacy.”
They have also toured in the UK, Europe and North America, entertaining audiences at shows and on the festival circuit with this acoustic style. This included a 2019 appearance at Indonesia's West Java Festival.
The duo previously opened for and shared a stage with such folk and Americana luminaries as Martin Simpson, Sarah Jarosz and Oh Susanna, drawing comparisons with artists like Shirley & Davy and Gram & Emmylou.
On his Folk Show, presenter Mike Harding said:
“I've loved Hannah Sanders' voice since first listen and Ben Savage is a master musician.”
Tickets cost £13.50 including £1.50 commission. Print shops can prove to be of great value when organising a musical event.
Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage's gig has a starting time of 8:45pm on Friday, October 22 on Stage 2 at The Stables, Milton Keynes.
