Two icons of British music are set to collide in discussion, as 'Bob Harris in Conversation with Martyn Joseph' is due to take place in Milton Keynes towards the end of August.
Martyn Joseph is a singer/songwriter from Cardiff with who has had a series of Top 50 hits, most notably 'Dolphins Make Me Cry'. Indeed, he was voted 'Best Male Artist' at the 2004 BBC Welsh Music Awards. His latest album '1960' has been a mainstay on the UK's Folk Chart.
Robert Harris OBE, or 'Whispering' Bob Harris, is an English writer, TV and radio presenter whose career spans almost 50 years. From his early days on BBC Radio 1 and later BBC 2's ‘The Old Grey Whistle Test' right through to his current BBC Radio 2 show, he has always championed new music.
The CMA previously named Bob International Music Broadcaster on two occasions, and he is an honoured inductee into the UK's Radio Hall of Fame, which took place in 2012.
The two are long-term friends, so this will be an evening of discussion and music, stories and anecdotes.
