The Milton Keynes Festival of Running, organised in accordance with UK Athletics, is due to be held in the town early in March.
There is a choice of four events: the 20-mile run, a half marathon, (13.1 miles), a 10K run and a 5K run. The total number of people expected to participate is around 5,500. Pacers will be on hand for the two-longer distance races.
Each course criss-crosses Milton Keynes on fast tarmac roads, and all are marshalled. It is a chance for runners to get some early season training in, and possibly even improve on their personal best while picking up a medal in the process.
Race packs will be posted roughly two weeks in advance. There are no wash or changing rooms on hand, so entrants must arrive prepared. All events have to be completed by 2:00 pm in order for the roads to return to normal by 3:00 pm.
The Information Marquee is located in the Xscape Centre, with the full results subsequently to be listed on the festival website.
Entry fees range from £8 to £31, and the entire event is COVID-19 compliant. Brochure printing can be a useful means of engaging with the public when it comes to promoting sporting activities.
The Milton Keynes Festival of Running will take place between 9:50 am and 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 7 beginning at the Xscape Centre, Milton Keynes.
