MK Snap will receive £32,250 out of the fund called NatWest Skills and Opportunities, with the charity planning to use this money to set up an MK Snap Catering Hub.
This will provide a programme of activities designed to help those suffering from learning disabilities in increasing their self-confidence and gaining the maximum possible independence in their lives.
The charity has been on the scene for more than two decades now, offering work experience, life skills and education for adults dealing with a variety of disabilities – both physical and learning.
Maureen McColl, its chief executive, told the Milton Keynes Citizen that they were delighted with the sum of money they had been granted, before adding:
“We know the talents that exist within the disability sector and this money will help us to engage our learners in real work experience in the catering hub.”
