Milton Keynes building to be renovated and extended
A building in the heart of Milton Keynes is set to undergo renovation and extension works, with the news that the council has chosen to greenlight the plans.
This building is located on Grafton Gate and it was formerly used as an office by Santander. It is currently lying empty, but the new owner Osborne & Co has big plans. The company intends to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment and also to extend it. The completed project will provide luxury office space measuring 20,000 sq m, as well as retail space on the ground floor and an area for public use.
Osborne & Co has brought in the architecture firm LOM to realise its vision, which has a total of five storeys. At one time it was called Santander House, but it has since been renamed The Verve.
When companies move into office spaces in the city, they find that it is full of other useful services. Those include Milton Keynes print shops that provide corporate gifts for use in encouraging potential clients.
Leading this project will be LOM director Ben Taylor and he told Building Design that:
Work should begin late in 2025.

“The scale and ambition of our proposals for 201 Grafton Gate reflect both the condition of the existing asset and a clear long-term vision for the site and wider Milton Keynes context.”
