The Alex Clarke Jazz Quartet is due to play a gig, filling a Sunday Sessions slot, in Milton Keynes in mid-December.
This talented musician picked up a saxophone and first performed publicly at the age of 15, when she sat in on a set at Pershore Jazz Festival with the Excell Roberts Quintet. Alex and her Quartet are now regulars at festivals and on the jazz club circuit.
She drew wider public attention on reaching the 2020 final of the BBC's Young Jazz Musician of the Year and was named The Rising Star in the British Jazz Awards in 2019. Her musical style is heavily influenced by jazz artists such as Lester Young and Cannonball Adderley.
Alex released her initial album entitled ‘Mirage’ also in 2019 and the following year recorded another one with TJ Johnson. She has also performed with jazz notables such as Gilad Atzmon and Art Themen.
The Quartet consists of British jazz musicians Dave Green, David Newton and Clark Tracey. Their latest album titled ‘Only A Year’ recently came out in the summer of 2022.
Tickets cost £15.50 inclusive of a booking fee. It is worthwhile considering Print shops as a useful resource when preparing and promoting a concert or musical event.
The Alex Clarke Quartet's gig has a starting time of 11.30 am on Sunday 18th December at The Stables, Milton Keynes.Get a Free Quote for Print
