The completed building will cost more than £500,000, with the lion’s share of the funding provided by the Trust, while £150,000 was secured via a grant from the national charity GrantScape.
When it opens its doors to the public in October, those attending the facility will find nature-themed stained glass windows created by a local artist, meeting and class rooms, pond platforms and a decked area situated outside. Further, bat and bird Boxes and interpretation panels will be provided to educate visitors about the wildlife in the area.
There will also be a visitor centre for purchasing souvenirs, and the Trust will be able to call on high quality brochure and postcard printing from Print shops in Milton Keynes, if necessary, when it comes to stocking up.
