The group hopes to generate £1,200 for this Milton Keynes charity’s Family Fund – a project that enables the charity to maintain family support, counselling, workshops and training groups in the town.
It is made up of four cycling enthusiasts who are set to ride approximately 180 miles between them during each of the three days of the relay event – adding up to roughly 45 miles each – with the ride taking place across a weekend.
Referring to themselves as The Cyclopaths, the group was put together from the Bedford and Milton Keynes rotary clubs, with Heald Solicitors acting as sponsors.
Dominik Byrne, who is taking part and is also employed by St Francis as its business development and fundraising officer, told OneMK that:
“We are raising money for the SFCS Family Fund which helps St Francis’ Children’s Society to develop and provide its extensive range of adoption support services for adoptive families in the Milton Keynes and Peterborough areas.”
As with other local charity fundraisers, those behind this can use poster printing in Milton Keynes to help raise awareness of it.
It will get underway in France on Friday, September 18.
