Whisky festival returns to Manchester
A dedicated whisky tasting festival is coming back to Manchester.
Organised by the Whisky Lounge, the Manchester Whisky Festival offers all attendees the chance to sample some of the finest home-grown Scottish whiskies ever created. On top of this, the best distillers from around the world will also be present at the event, from countries including the USA, Japan, Taiwan, and India.
Guests can talk whisky with expert exhibitors in between drams or take part in spirit-sipping masterclasses to expand their knowledge, tasting under-the-counter rarities.
Vendors presenting their products at fairs and festivals can sometimes give out promotional products to guests, designed using their branding or company colours.
The two-day festival will take place within the medieval walls of Manchester Cathedral on Victoria Street. All festival goers will receive an official Festival Guide, a free 'Glencairn' style tasting glass, complimentary water on tap and access to all whiskies available for sampling within the main hall.
To avoid overcrowding, the Manchester Whisky Festival has been programmed with attendees’ safety in mind and will take place over a series of separate tasting sessions.
On Friday, October 23 the session will run from 6pm until 10pm and on Saturday, October 24 there will be another two sessions, 12pm to 4pm and 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
Tickets are priced at £50 for a full session and £25 for a single taster.
