Tom Bailey, one half of the popular duo the Thompson Twins, is currently on tour and is due to play a gig in Manchester in mid-September.
Founded in 1977, the Thompson Twins' distinctive sound fused new wave, pop and synth music. They enjoyed considerable album chart success in the UK across a decade, becoming one of a select few British artists who managed to break into the American market at the time.
Tom Bailey, an instrumentalist and their lead vocalist, now performs under the name Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey. He delivers many of their classic hits, including Hold Me Now, Love On Your Side, Doctor Doctor, In The Name Of Love, If You Were Here and Lay Your Hands On Me. In addition, he performs a number of tracks from his first solo LP, Science Fiction.
The support is, on this occasion, provided by Neil Arthur, a fellow ‘80s artist who now tours as Blancmange, and is a long-time friend of Bailey. Blancmange had several Top 20 hit singles, notably Living On A Ceiling, and along with the Thompson Twins came to epitomise an era for many.
Tickets have a price range of £34.75 to £69.75, inclusive of a transaction fee. Stationery printers can greatly assist with the promotion of a concert or musical event.
