Footrace returns to Manchester

Manchester is set to welcome back one of the city’s most popular sports event that annually sees tens of thousands of entrants run its streets.

The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is returning to the city this spring. Organisers have pledged that the 2026 edition of the famous race will be better and bigger than ever this year and have options available for all levels of athletic ability.

Institutions holding city sports events sometimes count on professional Print shops that can personalise trophies, medals and other awards for winners.

The upcoming event is founded on Mancunian spirit and celebrates fundraising for good causes and keeping fit. Suitable for professional runners and absolute novices, the run offers a selection of distances that include half marathon and 10-kilometre options. The course starts in the centre and takes in some of the city’s most well-known landmarks.

Runners will encounter multiple music zones as they follow the route to reach the finish line, and an event village will be established for the cool down

The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run will take place on Sunday, May 31. The races begin on Great Portland Street and end at Deansgate in Manchester. The day before, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run is happening. It includes A 1.5 km (ages three to eight) and a 2.5 km option (ages nine to 15).
