Americana folk legend scheduled for Manchester

The American singer and songwriter Lucinda Williams is embarking on a tour and is due to appear in Manchester at the end of January.

This triple Grammy award winning artist hails from Lake Charles in Louisiana, and has been charting her own musical course for over 30 years. She started out performing in clubs, which provided a solid basis to produce a self-titled debut album that later became a benchmark for Americana.

As a singer-songwriter with a distinctive voice, Williams is a self-proclaimed perfectionist, making infrequent recordings. This, and the fact that her early records were released on smaller labels, contributed to a lack of initial commercial success. However, Williams came to acquire a cult reputation, and her 'Rough Trade' album did eventually receive critical acclaim.

Williams has a high quality back catalogue, and her latest album 'World’s Gone Wrong' contains a collection of songs that were penned and recorded last spring.

Tickets for the upcoming show in Manchester range in price from £41.75 to £54.25 inclusive of a transaction fee. Services such as banner printing affords numerous marketing possibilities for those engaged in the promotion of a concert or musical event like this one.

Lucinda Williams’ performance has a starting time of 7.00 pm on Friday, 30 January, at The Bridgewater Hall, which can be found on Lower Mosley St in Manchester.
