Self-storage firm expands in Manchester
Self-storage business FLEXiSPACE is poised to expand its operations within Greater Manchester.
The company is making an investment of £3 million in the Middleton area. The enterprise provides spatial solutions for organisations and individuals. Its latest move could mean more work for a print company in Manchester. Back in 2013, the business developed a site in the vicinity of the city centre.
Paul Fahey, a partner, said:
Fahey confirmed that FLEXiSPACE has big ideas and that its ultimate aspiration is to be the most successful brand in its sector in the North West of England. Nonetheless, in the short-term, the firm will focus on the purchase and development of suitable sites.
The new location is adjacent to the Middleton Arena. The site has the potential to address the needs of a significant part of the city. It will offer customers storage space amounting to 100,000 square feet.
Barclays has backed the ambitions of FLEXiSPACE. The banking partner has made the effort to understand the potential of the firm. It has observed that business rates in the centre of Manchester could work in favour of the growth strategy of the company. Furthermore, the bank has recognised that additional online start-ups may also boost its performance.

“Following our success on Ashton Old Road, we wanted to build on the value and demand Manchester provides. When the opportunity arose to acquire and develop the new site in Middleton, it was too good to miss.”
