Manchester to host midnight walk fundraiser
A sponsored midnight walk will take place in Manchester in support of local cancer patients in April.
Organised by the Cheadle-based charity, St Ann’s Hospice, the Manchester Midnight Walk will begin and end at Manchester Cathedral on Victoria Street. It is the main fundraising date on the hospice’s calendar and it comprises a 10km walk in the moonlight and is currently in its 14th year.
Those joining in the popular sponsored walk around the northern city will receive a T-shirt and medal and the opportunity to remember a special someone in the Memory Garden. On registration, walkers will be sent a pack that includes tips and hints for raising money, details of the night and a Midnight Walk sponsorship form.
Promoters of fundraising activities can take advantage of professional flyer printing services to create promotional literature to spread word of upcoming events in the local area. The theme for the 2020 edition of the walk is once more the iconic Manchester bee.
Fancy dress costumes are encouraged to be worn on the day and a disco will be held for walkers to socialise and celebrate from 9pm onwards. Live music will also be present on the evening from the Rock Choir, ably backed by a yet to be announced warm up act.
The Manchester Midnight Walk will be held on Friday, April 24.
