Manchester Airport getting new Boston and LA flights
Two new flight routes will be available for those travelling from Manchester Airport, starting next year, as Thomas Cook Airlines is launching direct trips to Boston and Los Angeles.
The travel company, which is the largest long-haul carrier in Manchester, confirmed that these flights would be available two times a week each from the facility.
These options come in addition to the Miami and New York JFK flight services that Thomas Cook started offering recently, both of which utilise the refurbished A330 runway at the airport and underline the company’s commitment to this site.
It is hoping that the new flights – alongside an increase in the number of those heading to Las Vegas, New York and Orlando – will enable Manchester Airport to appeal to people in a wider range of places.
Its managing director, Ken O’Toole, stated that:
As with other facilities based within the city, the airport is able to rely on the support of print companies in Manchester to supply it with materials like brochures.
Although the flights from Manchester to Boston and Los Angeles won’t be starting until May 2016, tickets for them have already gone on sale, from £299 for Boston flights and £399 for LA ones.
