Castlefield Carnival planning is underway
A vibrant carnival is set to return to Manchester in August, allowing residents and visitors to celebrate the summer in the Castlefields area of the city.
The Castlefield Carnival, which is due to take place on 4th August, promises to be a day of family fun, games and great food. Activities taking place at the festival include a bouncy castle, historical tours of the area and face-painting.
A full programme of events is in circulation around Manchester and those who are interested in learning more about the activities on offer are encouraged to pick up a flyer at Castlefield Forum's information stall, which will be set up at Manchester Picnic in Piccadilly Gardens over the two days before the carnival starts. The Chairperson of Castlefield Forum, Carol Middleton, spoke about the event, saying:
Local restaurants and pubs are also getting involved with the carnival, serving up food alongside fun events such as a boules tournament and live music.

"We’re really grateful to the Y Club, Community Games and all the local businesses for getting involved and helping us put on a fantastic day jam-packed with entertainment for all ages.
