Redbridge race day stays on track

A running event in the Borough of Redbridge has been given the green light for 2021.

Taking place in Ilford, the organisers invite all runners to attend this winter occasion. Designed with safety in mind, the event planned by Nice Work is fully compliant with the latest security measures for COVID-19.

The event presents runners with the option of joining a 5k or 10k race, on a course that is self-contained and free from traffic. Contestants of all skill level are invited to take part in the race on the undulating tarmac circuit. Those racing will receive a medal if they successfully finish the course, while leading runners and winners in designated age categories will take home a trophy.

In the interests of safety, nonparticipants are encouraged to not attend, but if they must, they are asked to congregate at only the start and finish point of the “lap-style” race. Venues hosting socially distanced events can rely on professional Print shops to create literature that informs those attending of safety guidelines on the day.

The race day will be held at the Redbridge Cycle Centre, Forest Road in Hainault, Ilford on Sunday, February 7, 2021. Entry fees for the 5K run are priced between £14 and £16 and from £18 to £20 for the 10K run. Parking and toilets will be available on site.
