A Grade-listed country house in Ilford will play host to a famous UK reality TV programme featuring pre-owned items and family heirlooms being evaluated later this year.
Ilford will welcome the Antiques Roadshow this summer. The popular BBC programme, which takes antiques appraisers across the UK to offer their expert advice to local people, is coming to town for one day only, led by celebrity presenter Fiona Bruce.
Experts in antiques, like appraisers, often carry professionally designed Business Cards to the events they attend to share with people who seek their specialist services.
The ticketed event invites East London residents to connect ahead of the day, inform the Roadshow on the special item they wish to have appraised and submit a selection of images. Members of the public can still bring along their possessions on the day for consideration.
The much-loved show started as a documentary about a London auction house touring the West Country and aired on the BBC in 1977. It was turned into a regular programme in 1979 and is now in its 49th series.
The show is being presented once again by Bruce, marking her 18th appearance at its helm.
The Antiques Roadshow will now be at Valentines Mansion & Gardens on Sunday, June 7. The 300-year-old Grade-listed country house is situated within Valentines Park on Emerson Road in Ilford.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
