Ilford sets date for annual illuminations
An event that will see Ilford light up for Christmas is taking place this winter in preparation for the festive season.
Ilford Business Improvement District (BID) has unveiled plans for an epic occasion designed to kick of the season of giving in town. Entitled the “Christmas in Ilford Light Switch on 2025” the event will be loaded with entertainment from live music and markets to performing artists and fireworks.
Event organisers often work closely with professional print shops to publicise, ordering printed promotional materials like flyers and posters.
The season spectacular is part of the town’s countdown to celebrate Ilford’s 100th anniversary. Those seeking winter cheer can find a selection of food and drink at the Christmas market which opens in the morning.
From 11.30 am there will be live performances from musicians followed by a dance competition in the afternoon and a chance to meet and greet special guests. Other original entertainment and activities at the event include flame throwing performers, an assault course, wrestling, virtual gaming, fairground ride, a dinosaur experience, a climbing wall and more.
There will be two fireworks displays, and the event ends with the official switching on of Ilford’s Christmas lights.
