Redbridge gets ready for race day

The London Borough of Redbridge is preparing for an epic footrace.

The summer event is called “The Twilight Ultra” and will take place at the Redbridge Cycle Centre on Forest Road in Hainault, Ilford. Following a record number of entries in 2019, this will be the sixth staging of the East London race.

The Redbridge centre’s cycle circuit makes a highly suitable track for running events. With an even tarmac surface, the undulating route provides plenty of interest for entrants while keeping them safe and secure from traffic.

Promoters of local sports events can take advantage of flyer printing services to create leaflets that let the public know how to sign up. The Twilight Ultra welcomes runners of all aptitudes to take part, with three races of different distances to select from. Runners are invited to aim for the maximum distance but can also step down and reduce their run to one of the shorter distances.

Those attending to cheer on the runners will find excellent spectator facilities including parking. Runners testing their mettle on the day will benefit from well-supplied aid stations located on each lap and both cold and hot food and drink choices readily available.

The Twilight ultra will be held on August 1st kicking off with the 50K run at 10am. Start times for the subsequent races on the day include the marathon at 2pm and the half-marathon at 5pm.
