Mosaic masterclass coming to Ilford

A special class that shows attendees how to create fabric mosaics will be held in Gants Hill, Ilford.

Those taking part in the two-hour long afternoon class can learn how to make miniature fabric mosaic artworks, different from typical tiled pieces. Fabric mosaic design is ideal for those who want to avoid the messy grouting and hard work involved in the tile cutting required by traditional mosaics. Far cleaner to craft, it also puts less stress on fingers and wrists.

The class is taught mosaic tutor Eva. With more than 10 years crafting experience, she regularly holds workshops around London where she shares her knowledge of fabric mosaic art. Artisans conducting courses can sometimes take advantage of flyer printing services to create colourful advertisements for upcoming workshops and classes in the local area.

No prior experience is necessary to attend, and delegates can take home up to four completed creations on the day. A wide selection of materials will be available to work with including gems, beads, sequins, paint, and minuscule mosaic tiles. The finished mosaics can be used as additions on handmade greetings cards or fashioned into jewellery.

The Fabric Mosaic class will take place at Eva’s workshop at 13 Lynton Crescent in Gants Hill, Ilford. The specialist course will run from 2pm until 4pm on Saturday, September 19.
