Redbridge Library in Ilford has now screened a new film concerning how people are coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. Many libraries in the area are already acting as centres for testing and issuing vaccines and now Redbridge Library is showing its continued support to the community dealing with coronavirus by showing the film within its walls.
Whether they are blockbuster or documentaries, films shown at venues are sometimes advertised by promoters with the assistance of professional poster printing services. The new film is entitled Beyond the Mask and was directed by professional film makers, Jane Harris, and Jimmy Edmonds with support from other members of The Good Grief Project.
Harris commented:
"Beyond the Mask invites us to re-evaluate what is important in our lives.”
The film’s screening is part of a local community initiative started by several UK libraries where the public buildings are used to encourage conversations between those who have survived the outbreak but lost loved ones during this difficult time.
Along with Redbridge, partner libraries based in Kirklees and Newcastle are also screening Beyond the Mask. The whole film was shot during the pandemic and is part of its creators who founded the Good Grief Project to help people discover a creative response to their feelings of grief.
