An epic festival dedicated to music styles like reggae, ska and soul will be held in Ilford this spring.
Music lovers from Ilford are in for a treat this year with a special springtime show featuring world-famous artists. Dubbed “The South East Soul, Reggae & Ska Festival”, the upcoming event will take place at Hainault Recreation Ground and feature music legends Aswad and Jocelyn Brown.
Organisers of concerts where multiple live acts perform often enlist the aid of specialist poster printing services to create adverts that feature the different artists.
Hit UK reggae group Aswad have played live since the ‘70s and released over 20 albums. Their best-loved hits include 1994’s “Shine” and “Don’t Turn Around”, which reached number one in the charts back in 1988.
Jocelyn Brown is a US dance and R&B singer from North Carolina known for tracks like “Somebody Else’s Guy” and “Le Freak”.
Other acts booked include The Moochers, Alison Limerick, Dawn Penn and The Motown Experience, with more artists yet to be announced.
The South East Soul, Reggae & Ska Festival will now take place on Sunday, May 26 at Hainault Recreation Ground. The venue can be found at 185 Forest Road in Ilford, just a 12-minute walk from the Fairlop Central Line station. The festival will start at 2.30pm and end at 4.30pm.
