Ilford to host green afternoon
An afternoon dedicated to sustainability and helping the environment will soon be held in Ilford.
Ilford BID is welcoming local businesses to participate in a summer event called “Ilford inGreen Business & Community Action Day”. The event is designed to raise awareness of climate change in the area and encourage Ilford firms and community members to take positive action.
Organisers of environmental events sometimes advertise with help from experienced flyer printing services that can create marketing materials from recycled paper.
The event begins with a photo opportunity capturing images of business and community partners followed by gardening activity and litter picking in places like Ilford Hill, Clements Road, Chadwick Road and Ilford High Road.
There will be a special briefing session on climate change letting attendees learn from each other about ways used to combat climate change. All materials and tools will be supplied by Chester BID and professional gardening teams and litter-picking coaches will support those taking part with tip and advice during the event’s hands-on activities.
The Ilford inGreen Business & Community Action Day will take place on Wednesday, June 11 at the Exchange Shopping Centre. The event starts at 11 am and ends at 2.30 pm and the centre is based on Ilford Highroad. Those who can’t attend the summer event will find another is happening in Ilford on Wednesday, September 10.
