A spring edition of a regular radio show for members of the community with a learning disability will take place in Ilford later this year.
An Ilford charity, Uniting Friends, will be presenting its popular live UF Radio Show from its community hub towards the end of March. Designed to provide support and raise the profile of people with learning disabilities in the area, the show invites members of the community to join in the lively discussion on a range of topics, celebrations and current affairs. There will also be a chance for listeners to select their favourite song for the playlist.
The monthly show will be led by Tracey, an independent advocate for United Friends. It is set to be broadcasted from The Hive, a community hub that runs the services of the charity located next door to its HQ. The hub includes a “new skills” training café, an arts centre and a dedicated IT suite. It also doubles as a pop-up shop to raise funds for the non-profit organisation.
To raise the profile of their campaigns, charities and other not-for-profits often enlist the aid of dedicated poster printing services that can create attention-grabbing adverts.
The UF Radio show is free to attend and will be held at The Hive on Thursday, March 28. The hub can be found on Beehive Lane in Ilford.
