The University of Huddersfield is hosting a drop-in information session on access to teacher training at its campus in the town early in February.
This event is part of the government's ‘Get into Teaching’ initiative. It will provide an opportunity for those considering a career in the profession to discover the various training options. Teaching offers a promising future for many.
Those attending can learn more about both the courses available at the university and its relationships with its direct training partners. There will also be information relating to finance and bursaries as well as tips on how to prepare an application form. Attendees can spend time looking around the campus, visiting student accommodation and sampling student life.
The key event is a short presentation, starting at 4pm, detailing essential facts to help those interested to decide if this is the right career. Professional tutors will be on hand throughout to give advice and answer any further questions.
Tickets are required and all are welcome. Poster printing is a useful way of letting the local community know that events such as this are occurring in the area.
The University of Huddersfield’s Routes into Teaching event is due to take place between 3pm and 6pm on Wednesday 5th February at the Haslett Building at the university's campus in Huddersfield.
