This plan is the brainchild of Kirklees Council and it wants to build the hub on land that used to be occupied by a gasworks. The site is currently empty, but it will have to be decontaminated.
The cabinet for Kirklees Council has given the green light for the process to begin, bringing the innovation hub a step closer to fruition.
It would be created through a partnership with a private company and would be made up of a mix of two and one-floor structures. There would also be multi-storey car parking built at the site, which is on Gasworks Street.
The council is describing the planned hub as a place for advanced manufacturing, life sciences and health research work to be conducted. Around 1,000 jobs could be available within it.
When new facilities of this kind are getting ready to launch, Logo Design services in Huddersfield can be useful to them. This is because logos are at the heart of any successful brand.
According to Huddersfield Hub, David Shepherd from the council said:
“These Plans will help turn an under-used area into a place where new businesses can grow, creating skilled jobs and bringing investment into the town.”
Over £8 million towards the project is already in place.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design Get a Free Quote for Plans
