Huddersfield youngsters to compete in dance championship

Two youngsters who live in Huddersfield are set to compete in a major dance championship next year, after qualifying for it at the regional level event.

Isla Grivcvos and Amelia Ackroyd are both aged seven and were born in Ireland. They live in Huddersfield now though and are members of a local dancing club called Kane Irish Dance. This led to them being given the opportunity to compete at the recent British regional championships, which took place at a location in Wales. The result was a triumph, as they secured a high enough placing to make it to the Irish Open championship.

This is scheduled to be held in Killarney, with the Gleneagle & INEC serving as the venue for it. When local people are competing in major events, their friends and families often like to support them with Banners. Banner printing shops in Huddersfield make that possible.

Rebecca Kane is the dance teacher for the duo. She spoke to Huddersfield Hub about their success, saying that the result was a real achievement due to the fact that they only have a year and a half of dance experience.

She then added:
“I could not be prouder of all of our dancers and the results these girls got at the regionals is a testament to the hard work and determination they are putting in.”

They will compete next February.
