Restaurant in Huddersfield to be remodelled

A restaurant in the heart of Huddersfield is set to undergo extensive remodelling, including an extension, which will see it turned into two eateries at the one location.

Meson La Pepa is a Spanish/tapas-themed restaurant in the town centre, owned by brothers Mustafa and Ersin Altiparmak. They were offered a loan of £100,000 from Professional and Executive Financial Services Ltd to renovate and expand the restaurant, and the work to carry this out is now officially underway.

The existing restaurant in Wood Street will remain in place, but a second one is set to be added, which the public will be able to get access to from John William Street. Shops in Huddersfield that provide Logo Design services can help the owners of local restaurants who are refurbishing their venues to refresh their branding at the same time.

Speaking to Yorkshire Live, 38-year-old Ersin Altiparmak stated that the inside of the restaurant would have unusual touches like multiple doors and twin pallets with wine bottles on them on one wall.

He then added:

“Before the pandemic, we had seven staff and now we are up to 13 and because we are opening up the extension there will be opportunities for another five or six people to join us nearer the time.”

The expanded restaurant should open in May or June.
