Images released of Community Diagnostic Centre in Huddersfield

A brand new Community Diagnostic Centre is set to open at a site in Huddersfield next year, and now the first images of it have been released to the public.

These give people some indication of what the centre’s interiors will look like. It has been described as having an appearance that is warm, welcoming and friendly. The facility will be managed by Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and it will be located in the Emily Siddon Building. This is part of the National Health Innovation Campus currently being built at the University of Huddersfield.

When the Community Diagnostic Centre opens, it will provide residents of the town with a place where they can get tested for various medical conditions without needing a hospital appointment. The location has been chosen because of its centrality and convenience.

The centre will be the first one of its kind in the country to be based within the campus of a university. Medical centres of this sort often make use of Stationery printers in the local area, to supply them with administrative Forms.

Speaking to Huddersfield Hub, Catherine Riley from the Trust said:

“Being in the centre of Huddersfield gives greater choice to our patients and means that some people do not have to come into hospital at all.”

It is scheduled to open during January 2026.
