New Huddersfield A&E will open next year

A brand new Accident and Emergency (A&E) unit is set to open as part of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary during the late summer of next year, with work on it progressing according to schedule.

This unit will be housed in within a building with a single storey and the walls for the outside of the structure have already been erected. It has also been made completely watertight, which means that work on the inside of the building can now get started. The A&E unit will be located in South Drive, Huddersfield, but people will also be able to get to it from Acre Street.

News on the progress of the work was provided by Dr Mark Davies from the area’s NHS Foundation Trust at a recent meeting of the local council. He stated that, when finished, it would offer twice as much space to house patients as the current A&E and that it would be fitted with cutting edge, ultra-modern facilities.

Stationery printers in Huddersfield can be a big help to hospitals and other local institutions, by providing all of the administrative Forms that they need for everyday management purposes.

Among the new equipment that the A&E department will have are integrated facilities for x-rays and a separate section for paediatric treatment.

It is set to be built by July 2023 and to open the following month.
