New housing development in Huddersfield

Work is soon expected to get underway on a sizeable housing development that will be constructed at a Huddersfield location, with both planning permission and financing now in place.

This new development from the company Redrow is to be built on Bradley Villa Farm. The building firm has bought an area of land covering 24 acres that will be used for the construction of a total of 227 new homes. These are set to contain four-bedroom houses, as well as three-bedroom and two-bedroom properties.

Redrow has also confirmed that 55 of the completed homes will be affordable properties. Of these, 14 of them are set to be made available to purchase through the First Homes scheme. This was set up by Kirklees Council to help people in the area get their foot on the housing ladder, given that they meet the right criteria.

Companies planning housing developments in the local area can turn to Huddersfield Graphic Design Services to create graphics of what the homes will look like once constructed.

The managing director of Redrow, John Handley, told the Yorkshire Post:
“Our good mix of housing options, from two to four bedrooms, plus affordable homes, will meet strong local demand for high quality housing.”

Work on this development is due to get underway before the end of the month, and is set to be finished by next summer.
