Huddersfield welcomes vintage rally

The Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club Vintage Vehicle Rally is due to be held in Huddersfield at the beginning of September.

This is an event that should have widespread appeal for everyone from the ardent car enthusiast right down to the smallest child. There is set to be over 150 cars, motorbikes and vehicles of all types and there will be prizes awarded for the best exhibits presented.

The Buffer Stop Cafe will also be open, offering a range of home-cooked food, cakes, pastries and a variety of refreshments. Steam trains will operate every 40 minutes to the location to offer an additional sense of excitement and novelty.

Those who own a vintage vehicle and wish to display it can do so by turning up and paying a set fee per entry. There is no need to pre-book and the display itself will take place in a large car park where the surface ground is tarmac. Although, those considering exhibiting should bear in mind the weather conditions on the day.

Attendance is free and there is no charge for viewing any of the vehicles. Organisers of events such as this may consider poster printing as way of drawing the public's attention.

The Yorkshire Thoroughbred Club Vintage Car Rally will take place between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 6th September at Clayton West Railway Station in Huddersfield.
