A comedy play that has earned critical plaudits for its humorous depiction of the struggles of mid-life will be coming to Huddersfield later in the year, after selling out in other parts of the country.
The play called ‘Midlife Crisis: For Better Not Worse’ is the work of Alan Charles, a poet and playwright who has a global reputation. It focuses on a couple who have been married for more than a quarter of a century and raise children together. They are expecting to enjoy their newfound freedom in middle age, but instead find themselves confronting crisis.
Over the course of the play, it explores themes like how to grow old gracefully, managing your expectations of life and keeping the flame of love burning. These universal ideas have made it a smash hit during performances in the UK and abroad.
It sold out several recent London engagements and will now come to Huddersfield. The venue is set to be the Lawrence Batley Theatre. Local venues sometimes use graphic design outlets in Huddersfield to help with the creation of Posters for their shows.
Other places where this play has been received well include Luton, Nottingham, Sheffield and Birmingham. It seems likely that audiences from Huddersfield will find it equally enjoyable and relatable.
‘Midlife Crisis: For Better Not Worse’ will play in the town on 6 April.Get a Free Quote for Posters
