Huddersfield to hear from TV and theatre actor

"Reece’s Pieces", an evening of conversation with actor and director Reece Dinsdale, is due to be held in Huddersfield towards the end of January.

Dinsdale, 60, claims only to have recently discovered his voice thanks to lockdown. Nervous about speaking in public when not acting, talking live online convinced him that at he had one or two good tales to tell.

The actor and director has performed at theatres countrywide. His credits include "The Absence of War" as George Jones, the title role in "Richard III" and Walter Harrison at The NT in "This House".

Reece has also starred on the large screen and still regularly appears on TV. He played Guildenstern in Kenneth Branagh's iconic film "Hamlet". Notable TV performances were in "Life on Mars", "Spooks", the sitcom "Home to Roost" and as Coronation Street's Joe McIntyre.

He won the Special Jury Prize for portraying John Brandon in the movie “I.D” at the Geneva Film Festival.

Reece will be accompanied on the piano by Bradley Johnson, his son on Emmerdale, playing a selection of tunes. The question and answer will be led by broadcaster and writer Bob Fischer.

Tickets cost £10 and the event is compliant with COVID 19 guidelines. Poster printing has a long history when it comes to advertising theatrical performances.

"Reece's Pieces" will take place between 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield.
