Huddersfield Comic-Con announces extra spring show

The organiser of Huddersfield Comic-Con has confirmed that there will be an additional event taking place this year during the spring, as a reflection of the growing popularity of the convention.

The convention takes place each year in the town, and is a celebration of all things “geek” – from sci-fi television shows and movies to comic Books and superheroes.

It is typically a high point of the summer, and there will still be the usual Comic-Con held during the season, but now it’s announced that there will also be an earlier one held in the spring to help meet growing demand for tickets.

The man who puts it all together is Martin Ballard. Talking to Huddersfield Hub, he said that the number of people interested in “geek culture” is growing all the time, and he felt that a single convention was no longer enough.

Ballard added:
“This year, we’re bringing in a spring show as a springboard to launch our other events across the UK, and firmly put Huddersfield on the convention map.”

Brochure printing outlets in Huddersfield can be of use to the organisers of events like this, by providing glossy Brochures for attendees that outline the activities on offer.

The venue for this spring Comic-Con will be Valveworks, a building on Milford Street in the town centre that was previously a mill. It will take place on Saturday, 16 March.
