The potential that Huddersfield has as a site for global investment is set to be given a showcase during a conference this spring.
The UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum attracts worldwide clientele every year. A number of local organisations, including Business Kirklees and Huddersfield Unlimited, have teamed up to put together a business networking event as part of this year’s conference.
It has been given the name ‘Huddersfield: The Future of Health Innovation’ and will highlight the impact of current and future investment.
More than 6,000 people representing global companies will be in attendance, so the event represents a great opportunity for the town. The delegation from Huddersfield will have the option of turning to local shops that supply business card printing if they need materials for networking.
They are hoping to persuade stakeholders from both the private and public sector to put their money into projects in the town.
Huddersfield is home to an Investment Zone, which is situated within its Stadium to Stadium Enterprise Corridor. This zone was set up towards the end of last year, and the conference is an opportunity to attract the sort of major funding that would help it to take off.
The conference has been scheduled to take place on Thursday, 21 May, beginning at 5pm. The event is open to all businesses, investors and entrepreneurs.
